How to Select a Commercial Cleaning Service Contractor
If you own a huge office that requires regular maintenance, you should consider hiring a contractor for commercial cleaning. There are tons of cleaning services out there, that choosing which one suits your needs has become quite harder than you might think. Here’s a simple guide on how to select a commercial cleaning service contractor for your office cleaning needs:
1. Know Your Budget and The Company You’re Hiring
Knowing your budget will determine the kind of contractor that you can afford, whether a big one or a small one. Some companies may look like they offer a good service for a very affordable fee; however, once you have signed the agreement, they will pull out the “add on” fees, summing up to a rather more expensive fee. Do your research well and select which company offers the most affordable fees.
2. Know the Services Offered
Obviously, you will need to know what the company has in store for you, in terms of the cleaning services that they offer. Ask them what are included in the fee that you have to pay. Do note that services vary depending on the price.
3. Supplies and Equipment
Some contractors require their customers to provide cleaning products and equipment, while others bring their own. Some contractors who bring their own supplies may ask for an additional fee. So you might want to weigh if whether or not, it’s cheaper if you’ll provide the supplies.
4. Check the License, Bonding, and Insurance
Simply put, look for a cleaning contractor with a credible reputation. Make sure that they have a license, bonding, and insurance. Ensure that, if a worker for the contractor is injured during working on a company's property, that they are covered by their own insurance. You should not be liable for it.
